Principal’s message

Hello and welcome to our school!

I am very happy to welcome you to the École La Mission website. For the 2024-2025 school year, our school will welcome nearly 225 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5. We also offer a Pre-Kindergarten program and before and after-school care services. Our school serves the entire territory within the boundaries of the City of Saint Albert; all the territory within the Sturgeon school district that is south of Highway 37 (East-West) and west of Highway 28 (North-South); the territory north of Highway 16 and east of Highway 44; and the territory of the City of Edmonton that is north of Highway 16 (Yellowhead Trail) and west of Saint Albert Trail and Marc Messier Trail.

École La Mission is first and foremost a stimulating and positive environment where our young learners can experience enriching learning opportunities. All members of the École La Mission staff are dedicated to the academic and social success of every student. We are a dynamic and competent team where a spirit of collaboration reigns. In fact, for us, collaboration is the key to success. This is why we believe that parents, together with the school team, form a community responsible for the education and success of our children.

We encourage parent involvement in the school life of their children. There are many opportunities to volunteer, both in the classroom and outside of regular school hours. Our school council is very dynamic, and we are always open to welcoming new members.
